I fell head over heels for Ghost and Jess. Ghost had a calmness about him, and he could calm Jess down in a second. Ghost was also super protective of Jess. He was her own personal hero. Overall, this was an amazing book/series. It was awesome to see some of the previous characters and catch up with what is going on in their lives The next story is going to be Blood's, and I am beyond excited to read it! Nicole James, you rock!

All I can say is Nicole James must be a hoot at dinner parties..I love this series. I almost stopped after the previous book WOLF which I really did not like but decided to try this one and am glad I did..The chemistry between Ghost and Jessie was great and HOT..action good..The best part of these books are the secondary characters because the dialogue, especially between the brothers had me laughing my ass off. Where does Ms. James come up with the dialogue 😅
I have been an Evil Dead fan since the beginning, from the California Charter with Cole, Crash, and Wolf to meeting Shades and the Alabama Charter. Ghost was an interesting character in Shades’ story, from his interaction with Skylar to the camaraderie with his MC Brother. I felt there was a deeper, more caring side than we see with most members of a motorcycle club. The way Nicole presented him in Shades’ story made me wonder who and what Ghost was about.
Having read the past four stories from Nicole, I must say I am a fan. Her writing style and technique pulls you in. In the past, you ride along with the guys and gals as the battle their enemies and personal demons to strive to keep their club together and find the loves of their lives. The stories have been interesting and flows along nicely. Nicole has put further the effort to allow the characters to grow and for the reader to become invested in their journey. However, and it pains me to say this, I did not feel that with Ghost’s story. The plot was there, the intention was good, but I felt there were sections that were rushed and some I don’t see happening in the MC world where brothers would never leave a brother behind. If a brothers goes missing for a couple days, the others are doing everything in their power to find him. Especially if they are dealing with threats from another MC. I will not go into detail, because I do not want to give out any spoilers, but I know when the readers come to that section, they will understand, and this happens early in the book and it stayed with me throughout the book. Once we get past that, the story rolls along. We learn more about Ghost and Jessie as the Evil Dead have to protect Jessie from rival MC club, the Dead Heads. You get pulled into their past and the relationship between them. You begin to see their lives starting to straighten out and maybe they have a chance at happiness. Then it happens, that moment that has you wondering what just happened and why. Throughout the story you see the lengths the club is willing to take to keep Jessie safe. We get to revisit Skylar and are introduced to some more characters along the way. We also know how Shades will do anything to protect Skylar, one - because she is his old lady and two - we know who her father is. With that being said and again without giving anything away, there comes a time that all those security measures are tossed out like last week’s leftovers. I must say, it annoyed heck out of me. I felt I was given a bum rap. Why take all those drastic rules to insure someone is safe and allow them to blow it off because someone is having a hissy fit? At this point in the story the plot became unrealistic, even and especially in the MC world. I felt it was rushed and slapped together. The plot explodes into action going so many different directions I had mental whiplash. I felt I was given an ending because the story needed to end at some point. I also felt cheated. I needed more in the end, I wanted to feel like I did with the other stories. I wanted to feel complete, not completely unsatisfied.
This is not normal for a Nicole James book. I do not like to leave an unfavorable review for an author I really like. Sometimes I feel quality needs to be the goal when writing a series of stories, not quantity. Authors need to not cater to the demands of their readers to produce faster. They need to spend the extra time developing the story, stay focused on the details that make the story realistic and end the story in some manner that allows the reader to move forward. Or in other words, “Don’t leave my hanging Bro”.
As always, I look forward to the next installment from the Evil Dead, and I hope Nicole continues to write as she has in past.

I've have enjoyed this whole series so much and the men just keep getting HOTTER and HOTTER. This was Ghost and Jessies story and Ghost did not disappoint, this man will melt your panties off . He's raunchy,rough, handsome as hell, and his body is smoking hot. Ghost and Jessie just couldn't keep their lips off of each other, one minute hot and the next minute cold, cause Ghost thought it would not work out, especially when she found out the secret he has hid from her for years. But Jessie isn't innocent either and has things she keeps from Ghost too. Jessie has got herself in a jam with another MC club and has turn to Ghost for help, but she bit off more thAn she could chew playing games with Ghost. The whole story is full of action, hot sex, and brings back some characters with some news of their own . This whole series does not disappoint the reader, so if you love hot bikers you got to read this series. Cannot wait for Blood's story, I'm sure it will be just as hot as the other books.
